What is an RF power sensing trigger?
The RF power sensing trigger is an accessory that can be used with the M-compact range of electric projection screens. It automatically lowers and raises your electric projection screen when you swithc the projector on or off. It creates a real wow effect, because it lowers your screen without you doing anything else then pushing a button on the remote of yor projector.
Not only does a trigger create a wow effect, it also reduce the number of remotes you need by one (you no longer need to have the projection screen's remote lying around on your table). What does it do?
The trigger automatically lowers the projection screen when the projector is switched on. When the projector is switched off, the trigger tells the screen to roll up. What are the benefits compared to other triggers?
- Plug & play
The part that connects to the projector and sends the signal, is simply placed between the projector's power cord and the projector. This means there are no wires to cut & connect.
On the screen side, the receiver unit simply plugs into the side of the projection screen, so again, no wiring needed. This means you can do it yourself and don't need an electrician to do the work for you.
- No wires needed
Compared to a regular 12V trigger, you do not need to run a cable between the projector (or A/V receiver) and the 12V trigger itself. This elimates a lot of work hiding this cable and saves you a lot of cost. This makes the power sensing trigger even a great choice for projectors that DO have a 12V trigger. Because projectors with a 12V output require a wire to connect to the 12v trigger box, there's no wireless option.
- Use a standard projector that does not have a 12V trigger output
Not every projector comes with a 12V trigger output. And that's a must-have for your projector to work with a 12V trigger. For a power sensing trigger, any projector is good enough. That's a big benefit, because it widens your choice of projectors to more than a few that have the 12v output.
